- Lonely Planet: For over 40 years, Lonely Planet has created guides for travelers looking to travel on a budget, go off the beaten path, or visit tried-and-true destinations with new eyes. Their site and guides will help you plan a trip if you want to go it alone, but take a gander at their small group tours if you want something guided.
